FAQ

How much capacity can be installed on my roof?

The capacity of a solar power system (PV) system depends on two factors. The roof space and the contract demand of your electricity supply. On average each 65 sqft of roof area can accommodate 1kW of Solar PV capacity.

Who would bear the capital investment & how much revenue share will I receive?

Sino Lanka Power Gen (SLPG) would bear the entire capital cost & the revenue share depends on the project cost and duration.

What’s the warranty provided for solar modules and inverters?

Our solar module manufacturer offers a 25-year product and performance warranty. Our inverters carry a 10-year warranty from the manufacturer.

Will I be consuming power generated from the solar PV system?

The Solar PV system we install will be directly connected to the national electricity grid under the Net Plus scheme so the total generation is exported to the grid.

What’s the duration of the agreement between the roof owner and SLPG?

Usually, this would be between 7 to 20 years depending on the project cost and specific requirements of both parties. At SLPG, we are flexible in our terms for specific projects. Contact us now for further information.

Do I have to pay the electricity bill after installing the Solar PV system?

Yes. Since the system exports the total generation to the grid, there won’t be any impact on your electricity consumption. So you will have to continue paying for the electricity they consume.

PPA with Government is 20 years
